Brand Voice

Brand voice is the way our brand “talks.” These guidelines are how we ensure our voice is genuine and engaging, no matter where we’re having a conversation—or who it’s with.

Our Brand Voice

The WyoTech brand voice strikes an engaging balance between Mike Rowe and Johnny Knoxville, tending more toward the Mike Rowe side in most cases.

If you type out a sentence, see if you could imagine our brand “persona” (Mike Rowe or Johnny Knoxville)  saying it out loud, or posting a similar comment or caption online. If not, keep adjusting until you can.

Use a Mike Rowe tone when it comes to official WyoTech messaging, and messaging to WyoTech partners and parents. (Think: Laid back. Smart. A champion for the trades who knows his stuff.)

On WyoTech social media, and any instances where you’re creating messaging for high-school-aged prospective students, feel free to lean more into the Johnny Knoxville vibe. He’s fun, fearless, and just the right amount of offbeat to keep it interesting.

In all instances, the goal is to create content that sounds genuine and relatable to our audience, no matter where we’re speaking to them.
